MS Teams Crashes when using a camera

I am experiencing regular crashes of MS teams when i enable either the internal or an external camera. 

The separate camera app works fine as does camera capabilities in other video apps such as zoom.

am running win 10

    I see CANON posted a warning:

    *Currently, if the Windows desktop version of Microsoft Teams app (v. 1.3.00.30866) is utilized and EOS Webcam Utility is selected as the camera device, Microsoft Teams will not function. You may use the browser based version of Microsoft Teams through Google Chrome browser to utilize EOS Webcam Utility with Microsoft Teams.

    Exact same issue for me using Sony a5100 as a webcam with sony imaging edge software. Using v 1.3.00.30866. 

    worked fine earlier this morning - jow broken.

    Wound up here searching for my issue. Latest version of Teams, 1.3.00.30866 64bit and it crashes once it tries to turn on camera (either with a call or in the settings under preview) I have a a Razer Kiyo webcam. Other apps that access the camera, like Zoom, Razer app, etc... have no problem. Seems this latest version of Teams broke something. Thoughts?

    Same issue for me.  I have a Logitech C920 external webcam using Team v1.3.00.30866 which is the most recently update from just a week ago.  When I enable the webcam, Team's crashes.  The webcam worked in previous versions of Teams and also currently works on Skype for Business, Goolge Meet and Zoom.  I have a Lenovo T440 running Windows 8.1.

    The current workaround is to use Teams via the web app (teams.microsoft.com) and the external webcam works, but the camera quality and video conference experience is not as good as the native app.  But it will do until MS finds a fix which I hope will be in the next Teams update (fingers crossed!)

    How can you advise to disable antivirus? 

    Teams is a monster in eating RAM and CPU when you use camera.

    MS just needs to fix this
