Hello Sai Raju,

Thanks for your post in Microsoft Community.

Regarding to the problem that the calendar tab is missing, there is a chance that someone changed the related policy. To check it, please contact Office 365 administrator to go to Microsoft Teams admin center and then follow the steps below:

1.  Sign into Microsoft Teams admin center as an Office 365 administrator.

2.  Click Users in the left pane and then select your account.

3.  In your account information page, click Policy and select the policy under App setup policy.

4.  In Pinned apps section, please check whether Calendar is in the list. If not, click Add apps to add Calendar into the list.

If the issue still persists, please provide the following information to me for further assistance:

  1.  Please confirm with other users whether they encountered the same problem.

2.  Please provide the screenshot of this issue to me.

3.  Whether the Calendar shows up in Teams Web App?

4.  Since you mentioned that you got license error when sign into Outlook Web App, please try this link in InPrivate/incognito mode and check whether you can sign in: https://outlook.office365.com. If you still get error, please share the screenshot of the error with me and I will do my best to help you.

Regards,

Seven

I am testing out the Free Teams.   Does it include the Teams Live option?   After downloading the app to my desktop, I noticed that the calendar option is missing.   I do NOT have an O365 subscription, nor do I have Outlook installed.    I am having trouble understanding how to schedule a video meeting using the free Teams option?   Is outlook or some other app required in order for the free teams to have functionality?

What do you mean with Live option? Live Events? No, because in order to do a Live Event you need to Schedule a meeting, and you has not a calendar to do that in free Teams.

About point 3) I know there is a Meet Now in Chat and Teams sections, I tested them. But they have not the same behavior as the Meet Now of Calendar Section. the 3 of them are differents. The one that is in Chat section, allows you to meet with someone you have chat before or you can add, if you want to send a meeting link to a new person that you never chat before, you can do that. The one that is in Teams section, it Works for new external person, but, is not full functional, the chat option in there say that you have to be a Team member in order to see the chat, so the only option is to convert the external user to a guest user. And the 3rd one, the one that is in Calendar section, is the only one that Works for external people giving you a full functional meeting.

I give you more information about my situation:

My customer use Gmail from the web, they do not use Outlook yet, and they do not have a Windows Domain, all their computers belongs to a workgroup.

Is a company that use Google products, and wanted to use Zoom for virtual meetings, that now are starting to use MS Teams.

This is definitely helpful information, though I think the assumptions that followed the good results are amiss.

The assumptions that are misleading are:

    1. "Trial of Teams" - A Trial of Teams has no bearing on whether or not you have a Microsoft 365 mailbox.
    2. MX Record - The MX Record does not come into play with regard to Teams/Calendar integration - that is about mail routing.
    3. "Meet Now" - Meet Now should Always be available both in Teams panel and in the Chat feature - In both places it is the "Camera" or "Phone" icon (camera is greyed if there is not camera attached to the computer) - in Chat it is at the top right corner and in Teams it is bottom middle under the "Start a new conversation" bar.  If that isn't there, then you have something even more amiss going on.

(As a side note - yes, the inconsistent use of icon placement, icon coloring, and icon/button function throughout the interface IMO isTERRIBLE interface design and is ridiculously and unnecessarily confusing for users)

    1. Scheduled Meetings should be available through the plug-in in Outlook even without the Calendar in Teams.  I don't know about plug-ins for apps other than Outlook - but if you are using Outlook, just having installed Teams should have created a "New Teams Meeting" in the ribbon in your Outlook Calendar.  (People are almost always surprised when I tell them to click on their Calendar and ask "Is there a 'New Teams Meeting' icon in your ribbon at the top?"

This said - you may have illuminated the path completely - and if not, you have certainly shed more light than was here before.

Being substantially imperfect, now I'll toss my (potentially also inaccurate) assumptions into the mix.

My first assumption is that, though you are using gmail, you still have a Windows Domain with Active Directory.

If my first assumption is correct, then I would direct your attention to AD Users & Computers and choose "Advanced Features" from the view menu, then open a user who is using Teams.  (This is where it gets fun... - and I just tested this and am curious if you are seeing what i am seeing).

Click the "Attribute Editor" tab, then scroll down to "targetAddress" and double-click that. (It probably says "<not set>")

Now put in the "onmicrosoft.com" address that is associated with the user - its OK that they don't have an email box associated with it.

Click OK, OK, and have the user sign out of Teams - not just close or quit, actually "Sign Out".  Wait long enough for all the processes to complete, then sign back in.

I expect you will get the calendar icon back and if you click on it, it looks something like this:

(Which, I suspect, is also what you are seeing now)
