Screen Flickering when Sharing screen in Microsoft Teams

Hi guys

Ive googled this and seem to get not the "right" answer.

My work has started using screens for remote access and its terrific. But everytime i share my screen, it has serious constant flicker which not only i see but so does the person on the other end.

Whats the cause

OK.. I think I may have found the solution. When sharing your screen many tiles show up for you to share. Some of these tiles are under 2 categories DESKTOP and WINDOW. Make your selection for the screen you want to share under DESKTOP NOT WINDOW. This selection made my screen not flicker anymore.

    Having the same issue. It's random and it doesn't matter if I am sharing or not. It happens when both Skype for Business and Teams are open.

    Rebooting doesn't help. I have to kill both apps and use web Skype for Business via our outlook.com company portal.  We have not yet migrated fully to Teams for IM/chat.

    While Desktop may fix the symptom, that is not always a viable solution. From a data privacy standpoint, the Window should be used as often as possible to minimize data leakage.

    then we revert back to the very original question i asked to create this thread. And that means we need a response from Microsoft

    Some of my customers insist on Teams meetings and they have been problematic.  I have the same flicker issue when sharing Excel.  Thanks to those who suggested work arounds!  But, "don't use that feature" is not a true solution.  Microsoft needs to fix this or everyone will continue to run to other solutions.
