Screen Flickering when Sharing screen in Microsoft Teams

Hi guys

Ive googled this and seem to get not the "right" answer.

My work has started using screens for remote access and its terrific. But everytime i share my screen, it has serious constant flicker which not only i see but so does the person on the other end.

Whats the cause

OK.. I think I may have found the solution. When sharing your screen many tiles show up for you to share. Some of these tiles are under 2 categories DESKTOP and WINDOW. Make your selection for the screen you want to share under DESKTOP NOT WINDOW. This selection made my screen not flicker anymore.

    While Desktop may fix the symptom, that is not always a viable solution. From a data privacy standpoint, the Window should be used as often as possible to minimize data leakage.

    but this "solution" has already been posted several times before. 

    Ok, it works as described. But for many users it's not practicable, because they have a large monitor with some other necessary windows in use, which they don't want to show completely to the audience.

    Same problem here. Today it appeared while using Teams to share Openboard. It was OK until past week. The problem only appears while sharing the program window, not while sharing the whole desktop. It's unbearable.

    Yes, it seems in Revit 2020 it will work without flicker when sharing desktop but not window

    Hi Felix

    I've tried restarting my computer, and have installed the Network Assessment Tool (although I don't know what it does?), and still the flickering persists.

    If I unshare a screen then reshare on Teams, sometimes the flickering is reduced, but tends to come back in time.

    I've noticed it was very bad when I was sharing PDF drawings (possibly when the files are large?). I see other people's screens flickering when they share PDFs on Teams with me as well. Maybe there is a problem when multiple PDFs are open?

    Today an AutoCAD file was flickering when presented to me on Teams. And when I presented my AutoCAD drawing it flickered so much it almost made me feel ill.

    Do you have any solutions please?
