I updated to MacOS Catalina and now I cannot share my app screens. I can share my desktop, but that is all others can see.

Found it.

Screen Recording

My system had an entry (unchecked) for Microsoft teams. I think it asked me as I was launching but I blew by it. Not sure how you'd add it if it's not there. You just have to turn it on, and Teams screen sharing will work.

    I have Catalina 10.15.2

    I have MS Teams 1.2.00.34155

I tried the method of checking the box and unchecking, restarting Teams, rebooting, etc., and nothing is working.

I can share PowerPoint files, the whiteboard apps, and browse for other file types but it says these file types (e.g., PDF) aren't supported.

My colleagues on PC can share all file types with no issue though.

Ditto here.  Screen sharing worked until last week.  Not sure which component was updated with some kind of automated maintenance. I have tried all the ideas in this thread and continue to have the problem described - unable to share my screen and the screen-sharing privilege is turned on for Teams.

Works fine for me using Windows 10.

Sometimes the Screen Sharing starts working with Microsoft Teams Desktop Application on a Mac when I "Exit the Full Screen".

Being in full-screen mode or not has no bearing for me. I start my Teams meetings NOT in full-screen mode and I am still having the same problem with not being able to share my screen.

    Come on Microsoft, fix this!!!

    Hi,

i have the same setup on a Macbook pro (2016) (Catalina version and Teams version match).

    this worked for me:

FOund this in a forum, tried it and it worked for me:

To get screen sharing to work, here is what I did:

    1. Quit Teams
    2. Disable/Disallow/Uncheck 'Screen Recording' for Microsoft Teams in 'Settings -> Security & Privacy'
    3. Open Teams
    4. Start a Meeting (confirmed that Screen Sharing is not available)
    5. Quit Teams
    6. Re-Enable/Allow/Check 'Screen Recording' for Microsoft Teams in 'Settings -> Security & Privacy'
    7. Open Teams
    8. Start a Meeting (confirm that Screen Sharing IS now available)

    thx, Alex.
