Cannot Upload Files to Teams Assignments "There was a problem attaching this file."

Hi there, in some of our Teams, users are unable to upload files to Assignments. They get the error message "There was a problem attaching this file. Please remove and try again".

    For me, trying to upload pictures (of my homework assignment), I found that the original file names were very long.  

    By renaming them to something short, I was then able to upload and turn in the homework.

    Yes i am also facing this issue. And it's a pdf format. I would really like some solution as this issue is occuring during my uploading of exam answer sheets.

    Your assignment has a OneNote attachment.  Did you create the assignment in OneNote?  If you did, this is a common error that Microsoft has yet to fix. When you create an assignment in Omegle OneNote, you will not be able upload anything else to it, and you get that message.  The work around is to create the assignment in Teams first, then add the OneNote page you want to use. Hope this helps

    I've also never created the assignment through OneNote and have been experiencing the issue.  Only some of my students are unable to upload their files, and it's not clear what they have in common because we're a one-to-one school and the student laptops are all imaged by the school IT staff on similar hardware.
