Managing sound and video settings during Teams meetings and calls for optimal communication
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It Works! I can't believe it! The Setting is in Teams.

Been using Teams since the start of lockdown with a headset. As of today I am getting a double-beep at about five second intervals (like a hold beep) in the headset when I am muted. This has not happened before and been using same headset for months.
Also note that when I mute / unmute in Teams, the headset now announces "mute on" and "mute off" to me.
This feels like a Teams update has created this "feature" - please turn it off!

UKDYNOBOB!
You get the point exactly.
I also use the Aftershokz headset for the very same reason(s).
Thank you for adding that to the conversation.
Thanks for that info, just tested it out and you're correct but turning it back on and the beeps are currently gone... will see if it lasts
I mean $40 and your pain is gone seems a fair trade to me. And again the bug is not on Microsoft side, the beeping, the volume of the beeping and the frequency of the beeping are all on the headset manufacturer's side. Even if love Shokz technologie I blame them for this. Microsoft could decide to stop using the handsfree profile tomorrow or never, I prefer to restore my serenity now.
I'm an IT guy... if I make a change to something and it causes unforeseen customer frustration and financial burden, my team backs it out.
IMHO it would be "fair" to Microsoft Teams customers for Microsoft to reverse their change.
That said I respect your perspective, I suppose we can agree to disagree.
