Been using Teams since the start of lockdown with a headset. As of today I am getting a double-beep at about five second intervals (like a hold beep) in the headset when I am muted. This has not happened before and been using same headset for months.
Also note that when I mute / unmute in Teams, the headset now announces "mute on" and "mute off" to me.
This feels like a Teams update has created this "feature" - please turn it off!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It Works! I can't believe it! The Setting is in Teams.
Dang. I got excited by this and thought it would solve the problem for me, but it didn't. I hope it works for other people.
I just figured it out on my end.
Go to Calendar on Teams.
Click "Meet now"
Click "Start meeting" (essentially, you're creating a meeting with yourself)
Toggle the microphone off.
Click "Join now"
Once in meeting, ensure Mic is off.
Leave meeting.
Boom. No more beeping.
Can anyone confirm if this happens on MacOS as well, for Shoks Opencomm that is?
Haven't read the whole thread, but every single post that talks about circumvention discusses doing things on Windows, and that it's fixed by using the Shoks dongle.
But I'm on MacOS (less problematic bluetooth stack + native app) and am about to purchase an Opencomm and would like to know if I'll need to get the UC to avoid this, or if this is just a Windows only issue.
I related to the Sennheiser HD-450BT. Are you using the same headset ? For me is definitively OK after firmware update.
