Recent update to Teams causes beeping in headset when on mute

Been using Teams since the start of lockdown with a headset. As of today I am getting a double-beep at about five second intervals (like a hold beep) in the headset when I am muted. This has not happened before and been using same headset for months.

Also note that when I mute / unmute in Teams, the headset now announces "mute on" and "mute off" to me.

This feels like a Teams update has created this "feature" - please turn it off!

Link to where the update can be found?

The Senheiser updater which I found does not support my model.

Use the Sennheiser updater to update the firmware https://en-uk.sennheiser.com/software-updater

And that is why Sennheiser issued the update, to correct the anomaly that makes the beeping sound during muted calls. The update is available from Sennheiser - I updated my headset via the App where the update was available.
