Managing sound and video settings during Teams meetings and calls for optimal communication
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It Works! I can't believe it! The Setting is in Teams.

Been using Teams since the start of lockdown with a headset. As of today I am getting a double-beep at about five second intervals (like a hold beep) in the headset when I am muted. This has not happened before and been using same headset for months.
Also note that when I mute / unmute in Teams, the headset now announces "mute on" and "mute off" to me.
This feels like a Teams update has created this "feature" - please turn it off!

It's back! The "mute on" announcement and double-beep is back! Aargh! Microsoft Teams - roll it back... roll it back!
Just as an additional data point, this issue does not occur with my OpenComms in Zoom. Only Teams.
This was happening with Aftershokz after a Teams update in fall of 2021 and was eventually resolved, but the issue is back again as of the end of April 2022. When looking at my version, it was updated to 1.5.00.9163 on 4/20/2022. Unfortunately, I have no control over updates as I'm using a company laptop so I can't rollback to prior version.
Workaround that I had in 2021 doesn't seem to be working now...
This problem just started in my office, but it is only occurring on one computer. We tried it on another laptop, and we couldn't replicate it. Both are Lenovos that had updates run this morning. To the early suggestion to use only Teams-approved headsets, that can cause other problems. We went with Shokz OpenComm after spending big money on Teams-approved Poly headsets, only to find out that they caused problems with any other audio program other than Teams.
