Been using Teams since the start of lockdown with a headset. As of today I am getting a double-beep at about five second intervals (like a hold beep) in the headset when I am muted. This has not happened before and been using same headset for months.
Also note that when I mute / unmute in Teams, the headset now announces "mute on" and "mute off" to me.
This feels like a Teams update has created this "feature" - please turn it off!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It Works! I can't believe it! The Setting is in Teams.
I tried this before a staff meeting this morning, and I didn't have anymore mute reminder beeping. I'm thrilled. This is so much simpler than all the other work arounds.
The only way that you are going to fix the Aftershockz /Trex headphones beeping in teams is to buy the Dongle from Aftershockz /Trex. Microsoft does not give a **** about what is happening with the beeping.
I had a burst of hope when I saw your reply Jack, but this is a Sennheiser f/w upgrade, right ?
upgrade firmware using app...5.8.0 ..it should fix...
