Been using Teams since the start of lockdown with a headset. As of today I am getting a double-beep at about five second intervals (like a hold beep) in the headset when I am muted. This has not happened before and been using same headset for months.
Also note that when I mute / unmute in Teams, the headset now announces "mute on" and "mute off" to me.
This feels like a Teams update has created this "feature" - please turn it off!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It Works! I can't believe it! The Setting is in Teams.
The two beeps are because your mic is muted through your headphones rather than the teams only.
On aeropex aftershokz, I have to press and hold "+" & "-" at the same time until the voice says "muted" or "unmuted". This turns the beeping off.

Let us know if this fixes it. I'm in the Shokz club that's suffering with this issue. It's extremely annoying that it's clearly a Teams issue and doesn't seem to get any traction.
I resorted to attending Teams meetings this morning via the web browser - just because of this annoyance. I confirmed that other coworkers are also seeing (hearing) the same issue.
Same issue started for me today after 2 years of pandemic use. I'm using a Soul BT Headset with the MS teams application and while muted I get the periodic beep. To top it off the "Mute On", "Mute Off" notification in the headset is quite loud each time toggle the mic setting in Teams.
I can find no option to revert this function in Teams.
