Export chat from a Teams meeting

Please can  you tell me how to export a chat that went on during a 4 hour teams meeting? It is too long to copy and paste screen by screen and I need to be able to copy it into a word document. Control A doesn't work and neither does holding the mouse down and trying to copy it all.

    Honestly I can't believe Microsoft has missed this feature. Obviously people will want to record their meetings and the results of them. In our meetings, people use the chat to share links, files, ask questions and we need to capture all of these components. When the meeting is an "info session" we have people not contained within a "channel" and therefore the features associated with channel meetings are not helpful. Being able to copy / paste (or better yet, export the chat content) should have been identified early on by Microsoft.

    Microsoft PLEASE sort this out - tried all the suggestions so far, but experiencing the same issues as everyone else. It shouldn't be this difficult!

    still no proper way to capture long chats? It seems that copy/paste (in different browsers or app) doesn't work unless you like to work in a stone-age-way-of-working. Nice product MS!

    Thanks for the update Aibgail. There is a search field top center of your Teams app. Can you type /pop in that field and press Enter followed by selecting the chat you would like to copy. It should pop this chat out to another window allowing you to Ctrl-A and Ctrl-C to copy.

    Hi, Davin, have you come across a way to send an entire chat thread to Outlook? I was able to select just a line, as you show, and send it to outlook, but I'm hoping for the entire chat. TIA!
