Can you mute by default whenever you enter a TEAMS meeting? I know this option is available in WebEx, but can't seem to find it in the settings in TEAMS.

It should not be difficult to add a checkbox in audio settings to 'start meetings muted', then simply check for it when joining a meeting.
I could add it for you in less than an hour, lazy MS.
Please add me to the list of the billions of people requesting this.
Yet another example that Microsoft doesn't give a damn about its user base. This is a simple option they can add yet years later still nothing. Should one of the users actually find a way to make it default to muted, it's a sure bet that Microsoft will try to find a way to prevent it from happening just as they did with windows 11 and forcing users to create a Microsoft Account in order to install it. This is why I no longer use Microsoft products on my personal system.
I agree, by default mute yourself and turn your camera off.
This is why Zoom is superior for meetings. It has had this VERY BASIC feature for years.
