In short, no matter how I try to mute my mic, the headset tells me mute is on and double-beeps every few seconds. It happens if I mute the call, mute in call settings, or even if I simply mute in my laptop's sound settings.
Teams does NOT alert me that I'm muted if I use a different headset or no headset -- only using the Aftershokz headset. This is an Aftershokz problem, not a Teams problem, but Aftershokz tech support has been unhelpful. I'm hoping someone here has a workaround.
This problem cropped up last fall, went away, and now is back.

This did not work for me.
I also tried within team notification options "windows control" and "built-in teams control".
Neither fixed it.
But fortunately for those who can use Teams from Crome or Edge, you can join meetings through that and there are no alerts.
This did not work for me if I did it correctly.
I was able to silence the beeps by going into the Windows system settings, selecting the offending headset, clicking "Properties" choosing the "Advanced" tab and deselecting "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" I needed to quit Teams to have the settings apply to a meeting. I've only tried it for one meeting so far, but I'm currently muted on this meeting and I'm not hearing the beeps.
Just started having the same issue. My headset worked has worked for properly for many months. This solution resolved my issue.

I have the same issue with an Aftershockz headset when using the headset with MS TEAMS
This issue appears recently and it is very annoying, before in the same condition it was ok. I dont know which version of MS TEAMS provide this issue.
I did not try to use TEAMS within the browser, I will next.
But I hope MS will provide a fix for this regression
