Aftershokz headset alerting me that my Teams call is muted

I was using this solution for some time, is annoying to change between devices on Teams to switch between listening and talking, but it worked fine... until I've update to Windows 11.

Now the "Headset" device from Aeropex Aftershokz don't appear on the device list, only the "earphone" device for listening. Before, the Headset usually appeared on both lists (earphone and microphone) but now it's only on Microfone list, if I change to another device the listening phone sound turn off.

Microsoft is really messing up with this Aftershock devices on Teams!

The Aftershokz response doesn't seem correct. I have multiple models of Shokz and they all do the BEEP now but did not a year ago. I have not tested it by using the Web version of Teams but work-arounds seem like nonsense to me when it worked before.

I had no issues with my AfterShokz headphones for 2 years, then one day MS Teams updates and now they beep all the time. I tried everything that was suggested and it might work for a bit but would end up doing it again. I finally email Aeropex and they said they had a workaround. This is the reply they sent me.

"Beeping when on mute for the Microsoft Teams app is a known issue on our end which is why our design team was able to create this UC dongle. It is a USB dongle and it's a plugged and play thing that you may connect to your device that will eliminate the beeping issue."

All I did was email them, tell them the issue, and they are shipping me out this UC dongle free of charge. I haven't received it yet, but I thought everyone else might like to know they are actually trying to help their customers. So if you need to resolve this issue email them and hopefully it will resolve the issue.

Actually, this is the setting of the headphone. It is a mute reminder of your headphone. 
Since this is a factory setting, there's no way to change/turn off it by the end of users. Hope this could be kindly understood by you.

I have this issue too, i just bought a Shokz opencomm headset.

I only have this issue when using MS Teams app, i don*t have it when i*m using Teams webb

When searching the webb on this issue it*s obviessly that this is a problem with other headsets as well so
it*s a Teams issue and Microsoft really have to fix it.

As for now i*m using Teams webb

I found a way to fix it. The laptop I'm using has a "mute" button on the keyboard [F4], and when I click mute in MS TEAMS, the light in [F4] also turns on and I hear a beep in my AfterShokz headphone. I just pressed [F4] to turn off the computer's mute function and the beeps went away. Don't worry, when you press [F4] to unmute, MS TEAMS is still in mute mode, but when you unmute MS TEAMS for speaking and then mute it again, you must press [F4] again.

This is a short term solution. I think the problem is that the MS TEAMS feature not only mutes the app, but also the computer microphone system, if MS TEAMS could separate this connection for the mute function, all of us wouldn't be bothered by the beep, and no need to [F4] every time.
