Low resolution of logitech meetup camera in Microsoft Teams

Hi everyone.

I have an issue with our Logitech Meetup conference camera. If i look at the image via the Windows 10 camera app, the image quality is very good (1080p) .

But when working in Microsoft Teams, or Skype for consumer, the image is blurry, with jagged edges that indicate that the resolution is very low. If, for comparison i try to reproduce the same image quality in the Windows 10 camera app (there i can choose the resolution manually, i have to reduce the quality to 360p).

Our bandwidth is 300mbps down/30mpbps up so that should not be the problem.

I first thought that it had to do with the performance of our conference PC.

But the strange thing is that in Google Hangout or Zoom, i don't have this problem, there the image quality is just fine/as expected.

Also when i connect my Surface Book to the Logitech Meetup, i have the same bad quality in Teams, but when i switch to the internal camera of the Surface Book, image quality is perfect...

In skype for consumer I have the same issue as in Teams, so i think that it has to do with the way Microsoft addresses the camera.

Firmware of the Meetup is on the latest version (i installed it to improve the automatic centering on the audience aka RightSight) but I am not sure if i have used the Meetup camera in Teams with the old firmware) , all latest windows and teams updates are installed.

Any clues ? Thanks for your insights.

    I got the same problem as well.

    Bought a new Logitech Meetup camera, hooked it up, updated all the firmware/software and the result.... very poor quality (like watching a minecraft). Just like Piet Lietaer, if you use the camera via other software (webversion of teams, zoom etc.) quality is good. With the teams-app, it's blurry.

    I got a couple of Logitech Group camera's which seem to work just fine.

    Glad to hear I'm not alone. If others have the same problem, please mention in on this thread. I suspect that it has to do with the firmware update. Asked logitech if they could verify that.

    Something i have remarked was that in Teams camera settings, the camera is identified as Meetup Camera, and in all the other software, including the web version of Microsoft Teams, it is shown as Meetup Camera:8A:BE:3C (or something like that, i didn't note the hex numbers)

    I also have the same problem.  I got everything set up and fired up a Teams meeting and was very disappointed.  I originally thought there must of been some protective film over the lens but there was not.  It is very poor quality video.  I have not tried using the web versions for the meeting so I may try that as a work around.  Hopefully this will be resolved soon as everything else works very well.  I think it is a nice conference cam.

    I am also having the same problem. I installed a meetup on an intel NUC running windows 10.

    the first thing i did was update the firmware I am running version 1.0.234, this appears to be the latest version on the logitech website.

    I have tried the camera on a second PC and have tried using a USB C to usb C cable but it has made no difference in quality. regardless of what I change the quality is about the same as a 2mp web camera.

    Has anyone had any success in resolving this?

    We are waiting for a second ordered meetup camera. when i receive this one, i will try it without upgrading the firmware, and report how this goes...
