Teams App closes and can't use the app in IOS

Hi, I have 2 users (1 iPhone & 1 iPad) where the TEAMS app is updated and even their IOS.

Their devices worked correctly until we deployed a security feature where people have to create a 6 numbers pin.

Since this new security restriction, they're not able to use the app.

They do the following :

  1. Open the app and select their account
  2. Accept security issues like the use of microphone and notifications
  3. Then they receive a pop-up message saying that the Organization stablished a new security stuff and that they need to create a secret code (6 number pin) and the only button they have is OK.
  4. They select OK and then the app closes-up
  5. They re-open the app and they just have the same pop-up and if we choose OK it closes again

Just to let you know, we have already rebooted the devices, we also have un-installed and re-installed the app but we still have the same issues.

We have more users with ios like me and everything works perfect. I don't know what's the problem here.

Can you help us please?

    Have had about 11 people at my company report the same issue. Seems Teams ver. 2.0.17 is the common factor here. I have an iPhone 7 which is for testing that had iOS 13.5.1 on it and Teams Ver. 2.0.15 with no issue. Updated to iOS 13.6 and still no issue. Updated Teams to 2.0.17 and started having the crashing.

    I've tried the steps from Jino59 with no success.

    Reinstalling the app doesn't have any affect either.

    I noticed however that I will still receive chat notifications on the lock screen of the phone, so the app is still running in the background. The main UI just won't stay running. I can even launch the app and leave it along and 2-3s later it closes.

    Hoping we get an update from Microsoft on this.

    Add me to the same issue.  Come on Microsoft, this was a huge issue on an important call for many of us this morning.

    I had the same problem and got it resolved.

    What I tried that did not work.

    • Reopening Teams repeatedly.
    • updating my iPhone to latest
    • deleting and reinstalling Teams
    • replacing my screen protector. :-)
    • changing settings in "settings" for teams

    What I did that worked

    • Go to my company managed (and created) directory-app and do a sync "sync directory"

                My Teams app opened and stayed open directly after doing this                  operation

    Ok heres the fix i found

    1. turn on airplane mode
    2. open teams
    3. sign out of teams
    4. close the app (completely)
    5. turn off airplane mode and sign into teams
    6. *RIGHT AFTER YOU ENTER YOUR CREDENTIALS, TURN AIRPLANE MODE BACK ON*
    7. wait for teams to load into your chats, should show you offline
    8. turn off airplane mode, give it a little to reload everything

    This did not work for me either.  Soon as you turn off the airplane mode the app closes.
