Export messages from Teams Chat?

Based on my experience, the hotkey Ctrl + A is not a feasible way to copy the entire conversation. We need to hold on the left key of the mouse then move up the mouse to select the conversations' content, and then press Ctrl + C and Ctrl + v to copy/paste them.

Maybe capture some screenshots of the conversation is a better way for backup.

This is a non-starter solution because while you can click-drag to highlight the conversation and cut/paste small bits of it, after about a page of highlighting it stops and you can't highlight any more. It's almost as if an artificial limitation is in place because in no other program in Windows in 20 years of working on this platform have I seen a limitation like that. It's beyond asinine. 

And taking screenshots of the chat is a terrible workaround.

The Teams dev team has the weirdest/worst dev roadmap. They'll put emojis as priority but something as basic as getting a conversation out of Teams without running to the admin panel and powershell is impossible and has been for like 2-3 years.

This is unacceptable. It is critical in business settings to be able to see and review entire conversations and copy paste does NOT work for very large conversations.

Is there a way to easily select an entire conversation? I find that it keeps dropping as I am highlighting and scrolling a long conversation.

It is possible to highlight all the conversation chat and messages, right click, select copy and pasted into whichever application you need.

I don't understand this response. Are you saying it is possible to highlight an entire conversation? If so, how? I don't think clicking "copy" highlights the entire conversation and your message doesn't provide any other guidance.

Try this with a conversation that has been going on for a few weeks. It does not work. Not even close.

The best it will do is capture anywhere between 100 to 160 lines of text at a time, no images, and no way to predict where the page break will be, so you can't even reliably repeat the process one page at a time.

Believe me if something this simple was in any way viable, this forum discussion would not even exist.
