Export messages from Teams Chat?

I'm wondering if it is possible to export conversations in Teams?  Also I'm just having trouble organizing my Team chats and finding messages from more than a month or two ago?  Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

    This seems like a very very basic functionality which is not included in a 2021 computer application.  There must be a reason.

    Hi,

    Will there be any changes regarding how to copy and paste chats in teams - to be able to share information easier between different teams?

    To copy and paste a hole conversation to paste in another tool to then copy it and post it somewhere else is really not an efficient user friendly way of working with information.

    Yes Aysan -- for some reason this also worked only one time for me, and now it doesn't seem to capture the entire chat anymore...

    There seems to be some "lazy loading" of the chat content involved. Unfortunately, I couldn't get Chrome or Firefox to not lazy load the chat despite deactivating it in the browser settings.

    Hello All, 

    Recently, our related team had released the Teams Export APIs which allows us to export 1:1 and group chat messages. For details, please check here. If possible, you can use those APIs to try to export the chat messages.

    And currently, there is no ETA for the feature exporting messages from Teams chat. Thanks for your understanding and patience. We will keep monitoring here. 

    For the manual way, we can copy the entire chat messages in segments, then paste them to Text-based application, like Notepad, Word, etc. Or use the snipping tool to capture the screenshots of the chat messages.
