team mysterious ringing

the last week or so I get a random (i don't see a reason/activity for it when it happens) ringing in my headset...like a phone call ringtone, but there is no activity  on Teams.  No one is calling me or messaging me, there is not an upcoming meeting scheduled.

My IT support team thought it was something wrong/setting on my Jabra Evolve headset,   but I tried turning off a ringtone setting in the headset's settings, but yet, I still get this same mystery ringing still

any ideas what could be causing this ?

    i solved this i think. i also use a jabra headset and my laptop wouldnt stop ringing when i wanted to use my laptop speakers and mic. I ran a test call through the teams settings then when it was over it stopped ringing. I had to do a test call twice to fix it.

    Go to Teams > Settings > Devices > Make a test call > then hang up.

    Fix this stupid issue Microsoft, It's such a cringe thing when it happens in an office over and over again when headphones disconnect.
    Why the hell do you need to hear a phone ring when headphones disconnect?

    Buggy software in production.

    the same happens with my bluetooth headphones appear that continuous annoying sound, and there is no way to stop it

    I am having the same issue regardless of what type of headset I am using. The ringing continues even when I switch to my laptop's built-in speakers. It is incredible how this thread began in November 2020 and we still do not have a fix nearly 3 years later from a company with a market cap of $2.4 trillion.
