Managing sound and video settings during Teams meetings and calls for optimal communication
Thanks Joe. I'm going to give this a test as a workaround!

the last week or so I get a random (i don't see a reason/activity for it when it happens) ringing in my headset...like a phone call ringtone, but there is no activity on Teams. No one is calling me or messaging me, there is not an upcoming meeting scheduled.
My IT support team thought it was something wrong/setting on my Jabra Evolve headset, but I tried turning off a ringtone setting in the headset's settings, but yet, I still get this same mystery ringing still
any ideas what could be causing this ?

I've found this only happens with the default ringtone. Any others selected in Settings > Calls does not reproduce the issue. Any other thoughts? It seems like Win10 is pre-loading the ringtone as a separate system sound and plays manually/automatically.
When placing a call the default ringtone sound plays also regardless of your default ringer settings. It seems that anytime Win10 interacts with this specific sound it caches it to play on your audio device.
We are 3 persons in my office and all have the same issue as described here, Teams ringtone playing but no notification of anyone calling and no missed calls after.
I'm also seeing the odd behavior where I get the teams ringer sound a couple of times from my speakers, when I disconnect my Bluetooth headset. It doesn't happen consistently, but typically a few times a day.
Hi,
I also experience this strange behavior sometimes. This seems to happen when I have Teams app active on several devices such as mobile phone, laptop and desktop.
I haven’t experienced this issue since I limited the use of Teams to just one device and only the desktop app (not the web app).
Am currently monitoring the situation.
Thanks,
