How to open word document shared by external and make it fillable?

My student’s doctor sent me a form to fill out. It is a word document, but I cannot fill it out. When I try to convert to a pdf, I get an error message. Authenticator is preventing me. Don’t know how to bypass.

You can’t bypass Authenticator—open the Word file in Word Online (browser) and use “Enable editing” to type directly, or ask the sender to resend it as a fillable PDF or grant edit permissions; MFA is enforced by the sender’s organization and must be satisfied or avoided by using the web app instead.
