Something is wrong with my personal email account, as other members of my family are able to access their Outlook email accounts. When I try to log on to Outlook (hotmail) on my phone or on my PC, I receive the following error message. I need to be able to access my emails. Please advise on how I can resolve this. I have already reset my password and cleared my cache and history.

Same. Outlook stopped working today in Gmail app Android, and in any browser on Windows. OneDrive, MS account access and other stuff works as usual. Outlook Lite Android app stopped working days before (stuck on splash screen).

Same here, I have been trying to log into my email account and receive the error 401 unhandled rejection.
I can get into onedrive and log into my laptop, maybe its a problem with microsoft today?

I'm getting same issue. Outlook was working fine yesterday before windows update. Since this morning, post update, i haven't been able to get past the 401 error page on any device. I have tried clearing cache and cookies and resetting password. The Live/Microsoft account page logs in fine, it only seems to be outlook that's having authentication problems. It's really frustrating me. They better fix this soon.

Having the same problem since about midday today. Cannot get my emails at all. Have tried multiple devices with no luck. All other Microsoft products seems to be working fine. My husband's emails are fine and still working.

From what I've been able to see, it's a global problem. Until Microsoft deigns to offer a response, the only thing to do is wait for it to resolve on its own. The more noise there is, the better. I've done some searches and so far, nowhere is there any talk of problems with Outlook.

I'm having the same issue in Spain. Can't connect via web site on computer or phone (Chrome, Edge, Duckduckgo), or via app on phone. I assumed I'd done something wrong until I saw all these messages.
However, I was able to join this forum (first time ever) using the same address, no sign in required.

Same issue here in the UK. I've been unable to access emails via browsers on mac desktop, or android phone all day. Incredibly frustrating, especially when expecting important emails from my children's school, log-in verifications, etc.

I'm having the same issue on my computer and my phone. On my phone, I can submit a request to the authenticator and get approved, but it fails again and asks for re-authentication, leaving me in a difficult situation.

I really wish I'd known that Outlook and several other services are down before I started uninstalling and reinstalling the outlook app!!! Why couldn't the 401 notification highlight the issue!!!!

I am having the same issue, just my outlook account, luckily my other family members can still use their accounts (especially given how important these accounts are and the fact that they are traveling atm)

It’s a bit of a nightmare because my husband is receiving his e mails, I can’t receive or send.
Same 401 error message. Can’t change anything because my contact phone number is a landline and no messages can be sent via text and I can’t change to a mobile without a verification code.
Sort yourselves out. You’re saying it’s fixed but it doesn’t appear to be.

Cleared cache and cookies no change no access...Ugh. Dealing with other product defect issues via email, and now I'm out of communication with the vendor...UGH. Help from Microsoft would be appreciated. Guess I'll switch my "go to" to Chrome and Gmail. They work.

Yea I've got the same problem, I am unable to access my mailbox on my laptop.
I reached out to Microsoft for support and they said it might be that its tied to a company who have restricted access, which makes no sense as its my personal email.
Very confused as to why this is happening but i guess it's reassuring that a lot of people have the exact same issue on the same day, hopefully Microsoft is working on this issue.

I cannot sign in to my hotmail.com account since about 4 days ago! It keeps sending me in circles and then locks me out. I went through a whole 3 page question answer session to include everyone I emailed recently and the exact subject line, past passwords, security questions etc. then got an email to my gmail account saying "we don't respond to these because you have two step verification! Which is where the problem is! This is getting ridiculous! When will this be fixed? I need access now!

I'm unable to access my email and started getting the 401 error message today.
I was able to access my email this morning, July 23rd. Then around 9am it disappeared and this same error showed up.
I just received a pop up on my PC that an email was sent to me on how to resolve outlook access, but I have not received the email in my Outlook, because it is not working! Why would Microsoft send an email? How can I fix this?

Why do they send e-mails to accounts where we don´t have access to?
This is the problem...Do publish the solution here!!!

Generally same issues with me - UK - but I find on my phone the emails 'flash' into the notification and then dissaper with a note that they can not be read, Worrying because I noticed an urgent medical related email but it has completely dissapeard.
When will this get sorted?
Correction - received an email for my registration here - and it said that it could not open the message!
