Windows 11 fresh installation "Let's connect you to a network" stuck

Hi,

I am trying to install Win11 on my new Lenovo Air14. It was delivered with a Chinese version if the OS, so I formatted everything. I created a USB-drive with a second PC using the Media Creation Tool, but now I am stuck at the "Let's connect you to a network" screen.

No Networks are shown (my other Notebook right next to it shows 29)

Next doesn't work (greyed out)

Shift + F10 doesn't work

ALT+F4, doesn't work

I can't open any of the three options on the bottom right (greyed out)

The only FN keys working are brightness, volume and "project screen" (Win+P)

Anything I can do? I thought about trying to install Win10 first and then update.

    I just had this issue and was looking through the comments and saw someone say press shift+f10 and enter D: at first I thought it didn’t work because I was typing and nothing I typed popped up until I actually clicked the window that popped up after pressing f10. Fast forward I pressed F10+Shift then I got a “ D:> ” message. So beside that I entered “setup” so it looked like this. “ D:>setup “ (quotations not included) pressed enter and a Windows 11 setup menu popped up (depending on which one you have 10 or 11 it should say either or number). It caused me to bypass that wifi problem window. I Installed windows now everything is perfectly fine. It will download any missing drivers to help the process go as smooth as possible.

    Make sure you click “I want to help installation better” before clicking next.

    I had the same issue today. I solved it by accessing the cmd with this:

    On an another computer:

    • Downloaded the drivers from the website of the manufacturer (MSI in my case)
    • Copied the files to a USB drive

    On the new laptop:

    • Accessed the command line with Shift-F10
    • In the command line started the device manager with the command "devmgmt"
    • With the command manager installed the wifi drivers

    Then the networks appeared.

    I'm writing this, in case i need it in 5 years, when i buy a new laptop :D

    Thank you for clarifying that the problem is the lack of network connection. I didn't know if my brand new mouse on my brand new system just wasn't working or what.

    For me, it was easier to just run a long cable to my router to establish the internet connection, rather than looking for wifi drivers to install. You making clear that the problem was simply not having a network connection allowed me to find that solution, so thank you.
