Alright I suck at explaining, but I have an acer laptop too and these are the steps that worked for me. First, I updated bios to the latest version, but it was a bit difficult due to you know my laptop being plugged in, but not charging. So, to be able to update it follow the steps in this video. Before doing that make sure to create a bootable usb with windows 10 or 11. There’s plenty tutorials on that as well. When you update it or in my experience, my computer didn’t recognize my hard drive, so make sure you have the usb in hand ready and continue with the installation or else you will be stuck. Those are all the steps I followed, hope i helped :)
Windows 11/Battery dead and not charging
I updated to Windows 11. BIG MISTAKE! Now, My laptop battery is dead and won't charge. I see lots of people had problems with the battery not charging, but my battery is dead and so none of those work for me. Will MS pay for a new battery for me since they broke my laptop? Let ne jbiw uf tgere;s aything else I can do short of spending money I don't have on a new battery.
Reading all the comments from people who had this problem, Microsoft knew this was a problem and should have fixed it before releasing it to the public.

2022-11-15T17:44:00+00:00 I'm having the same issue. My laptop updated overnight without me accepting. When I woke up to start work, my battery went from 100% immediately to 0% and shut off. I've tried restarting, keeping it plugged in for 30+ minutes, and nothing is working. I can't even get the battery to 1% of charge. Just says "Plugged In 0%." I've only had the laptop for ~2 years, it's a Lenovo IdeaPad. Never had issues with the battery EVER before now. I've never left it on the charger for long periods of time, never put it in a humid condition, etc. If this doesn't get fixed, I'm switching to Apple.

2022-11-08T10:58:07+00:00 If not BIOS fix then battery is probably fcd. Window's 11 has much to answer for with battery issues but if you can't make it work 100 percent through BIOS then likely battery is fckd
