Stop upgrade to Windows 11

That isn't a good solution.
When you edit the registry this way you are telling your PC YOU DO NOT WANT TO RECEIVE ANY MORE UPDATES.
In other words, you will no longer receive future updates for Windows 10, or any updates at all.

This is not the right answer.
You need to be able to receive Windows 10 updates, and not receive the prompt to update to Windows 11.

This fix seems to have worked for me; a Windows 10 security update has downloaded and installed and no signs of Windows 11 trying to download again and install again.

Way 3: Block Windows 11 Update from installing on Windows 10 using Registry Editor

If you only want to block the feature ask you to upgrade to Windows, you can use the new TargetReleaseVersion policy or registry setting since Windows 10 version 1803. It allows you to specify the target feature upgrade for Windows 10 you want to stay on or move to until it reaches the end of service.

The latest Windows 10 version is 21H2. But before starting, you need to check if your computer using it. Type "winver" in the Run window and click "OK" to confirm it. Then, you will see the current Windows version, it's 21H2.

1. Type regedit in the Run windows and hit OK to open Registry Editor.
2.  Navigate to the following path, right-click it > New >DWORD(32-bit) Value. Then, double-click the new registry settings, name it TargetReleaseVersion and set its value to 1. 

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate

3. Right-click the blank space, select New > String. Then, double-click it, name it Product Version and set its value dataa to Windows 10.

3. Create a new string by right-click the blanks space, select New > String.Then, double-click it, name it TargetReleaseVersionInfo and set its value data to 21H2.

4. Close the registry and restart your computer to make these changes take effect.

I see no one has the solution after 2 years.......... and i think the "advisors" need to READ first

Its obvious there is no way just to stop the invasive & pretty useless unstable Win 11, but still allow win 10 updates

I have a newly built laptop with win 11, its now used as a door prop nothig works with it, the company I worked has a group policy "NO UPDATES TO WIN 11 ALLOWED"

Microsoft dont care they have no interest in customer or what their experiences & thoughts are its a auto bot machine running on it predetermined path of invading privacy & knowing everything about you.

Since Win 10 & 11 came along I have never had so many issues, all this signing in to use you r own computer, run in adminsrator mode, when only you use it, syncing contacts mobiles to computers, not everyone want to ave everything "synced, shared" etc.

I wish you could switch your cmputer on, do your work & switch off, i spend so much time finding out how to stop this & that its becoming poitnless, half of the reason Ive given up work.

I hope someone can come up with a solution, there needs to be a "Stop all pop ups, block all messages from Microsoft & suggestions" call it the "Just Work Button"
