Stop upgrade to Windows 11

I upgraded to Windows 11 and reverted back to Windows 10. Now Windows 10 automatically attempts to download and install Windows 11 again. See below:

I can Pause Updates but doing so doesn't allow me to update Windows 10 "patches." I'm being forced to Upgrade to Windows 11 without the ability to stop it.

I want to cancel the Upgrade to Windows 11 (download/installation) process which initiated on its own without my consent. The current status is how it shows in the image above - ready to download and then install Windows 11 but there is no way to stop it.

What I want:

  • Windows 10 to stop Upgrade to Windows 11 process
  • Ability to update Windows 10 without it upgrading/installing to Windows 11
  • Windows 10 with the ability to update patches
Windows for home | Windows 10 | Windows update

Nami81, I agree, and now, did you recieve their overall update with a long new Agreement? It will be loaded with AI and many changes meaning: more weird changes on top of the one swe got when they forced their W11 on us. Maybe I'll try the Apple or some other application. I can't continue to waste SO MUCH of my time with W11!!!

Thank you! I did the registry and GPO solution and only filled "Windows 10" with the version in blank. Waiting to see what happens.

The how to geek instructions for regedit and gpedit are the best on the web.

    https://www.howtogeek.com/765377/how-to-block-the-windows-11-update-from-installing-on-windows-10/

This is what I'm interested in...

I don't want to stop any of the major updates to WIN10 (21H1, 21H2, 22H2, etc.), but DO want to block WIN11 until the developers have migrated their software over to WIN11. I literally have thousands of machines out there in hundreds of dealerships needing this solution.
