I tried commenting on an article for the first time today. When i went to sign up and agree to the terms a window said in red letters "The username violates our guidelines"...

my username is my first and last name so I don't understand why I'm seeing this. There is no option to dispute on screen https://account.microsoft.com/profile?ocid=msedgntp

Nope. Microsoft and Facebook discriminate against all. I get it too. My gf got blocked by facebook for spamming because she said she liked a friend's recipe. YouTube just deletes your comments. Copy you YouTube comment to clipboard before posting. Wait a minute. Then edit to add a period. If you get =an error that means google deleted you comment. Paste again, and play with wording. After a few dozen tries you might get posted. For example, replace the word white with misspelling of caucasian. Stuff like that. They are all idiots.

People think it only conservatives because Dems too stupid to be grilling them on thier stuff being censured when they have them before congress...plus conservatives do lie more.

I definitely think it has something to do with microsoft not being able to handle multiple platforms. Not a big deal, but I doubt my real name violates much of anything. I'm getting my xbox screen name when posting these comments, but that's modern compared to msn and hotmail

Thank you very much for the detailed explanation on how to solve this bug. As for suggesting this may not occur on a desktop with Edge browser, yes it's happening to me in this scenario.

My account is as old as Hotmail, so mine's old too, but this is no excuse for such buggy software.

The political snowflakes of both the left and right need to realize that not everything is political. Admittedly, censorship is a thing, and it is getting awful with places like YouTube, but I'm not sure if that is a left or right issue either, as it smells like a money issue. Both left and right are getting censored...well... left and right. The only videos that need not worry about the algorithm ban hammer are twit makeup videos with nothing more in-depth than which lipstick goes with which skin color, made by teens.

Yes it's a technical issue. I'm sure if you create a new account it would work. People are becoming kind of paranoid about "AI" and being tracked. Not good.
