The following release notes coincide with Cumulative update for all the supported versions of Windows.

    Hi,

    Did this update fix known issues some laptops have with Windows 11, specifically AMD Ryzen 5 with Radeon Graphics?

    Read reports that Win 11 slows down performance. My laptop is brand new, love its performance and speed so I'm a bit worried about upgrading to Win 11.

    Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

    If your devices do not have the May 11, 2021 update (KB5003173) or later LCU, you must install the special standalone August 10, 2021 SSU (KB5005260).

    Do you have one of those installed?

    My ReFS storage pool is still RAW. HDDs are in good and working conditions.

    Windows 10 Pro, 19044.1469

    KB5009543 Successfully installed on ‎1/‎15/‎2022 <- this turned my Storage Space D: drive RAW

    KB5010793 Successfully installed on ‎1/‎18/‎2022 <- out of band update, but D: drive still RAW

    I've tried "wusa /uninstall /kb:5009543", but it says: "Windows Update Standalone Installer: The update KB5009543 is not installed on this computer"

    Should I try to uninstall the new out of band update or wait a few more days? hmm

    You know that vpns are being used by viruses that turn your computer into a rig that spies on every single externally observed thing it can and transmits using rpc right? All a VPN does is establish a logical connection in another country for most people. It's not being used as it was intended upon conception. Anyone with a certificate for your VPN can read your data along the physical transmission route. Vpns were created to allow for decentralized businesses. Now they're being used to target certain people, side load and back load malicious software rootkits and ransomware, mine crypto with you paying for the electricty, and make your computer worthless. The fact that people care more about being able to change what country they watch Netflix in than someone monitoring their every single digital action without the ability for the vast majority to trace it is insane.

    Updates applied 16/01/2022:

    2022-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 20H3 for x64-based Systems (KB5009543)

    2022-01 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 20H3 for x64 (KB5008876)

    All animations now run slow in browsers (Edge, Chrome, Firefox) and applications following windows update. Animation examples include: mouse cursor loading circle, loading animation in all apps, notification panels, gifs, muted twitter videos (unmuting they run normally), minimised/maximised window animation, hovered on Youtube previews etc.Simultaneously, windows clock is lagging, currently at -69 minutes, expect this to increase during the day.PC specs below: XPS 8700 Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz

    Installed RAM: 24.0GB

    System Type: 64 bit OS, x64-based processor

    Edition: Windows 10 Home Version: 20H2

    Installed on: 20/06/2021

    Display adapter: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti All relevant drivers appear to be up to date.
