how do i stop downloading and installing windows 11. I had a perfectly working computer before you ask me about this **** update. can't do anything with my computer now. so irritating when i have things to do and it's just destroyed and useless now. unbelievable i don't have time for this ****

Windows 10 (the latest version which we have and make sure you get the latest version) is supported until 2025.
By then, hopefully most of the god awful bugs in Windows 11 will be worked out.
You have nothing to worry about for right now, but you really should ditch Windows 11 until 2025.
I am mostly indifferent to Windows 11, but I do not want a situation where in a few months I will basically be S.O.L. because Windows 10 is longer supported. That would open a security whole the size of Asia and I have no desire to have to format, lose all my data and/or need to get a new machine because the one I have was destroyed by a hacker locking the system.
Do you want Windows 11? I'm not an expert, but if it were me because I don't want Windows 11, I would quickly go in and change the registry like so many of us did so that Windows 11 could NOT download and install. Just stay with Windows 10.
In fact if you now for sure, Windows 11 did not install, disconnect from the internet and make the registry changes. Then reboot up the computer. Windows 11 will simply disappear.
It downloads all the way. It reaches 100% installed in the update control panel, then it restarts. Reaches 77% stays there for 30 - 40 minutes saying 77%, then moves on to please wait while windows is getting ready, but EVERY SINGLE TIME its Windows 10 when I log in and few hours later the whole saga begins again. When I check the status after the "Upgrade installation" it says an error has occurred, if this error persists please confirm your system meets minimum requirements and contact customer support. As I said, technical support is clueless why and just wants to wipe my system and start over. This is not an option nor is it acceptable.

The advice given was:
1900101 is a very generic error and usually indicates a driver problem. The Panther logs can help you pinpoint the problem; if you are not proficient, try running Setupdiag to find the root cause. Before that, if you have not, try updating manually either using the Installation Assistant or ISO file. Both methods keep everything, including apps and files.
But every driver is up to date based on the manufacture's driver list for all drivers.
Has it downloaded or downloaded and INSTALLED all the way?
