how do i stop downloading and installing windows 11. I had a perfectly working computer before you ask me about this **** update. can't do anything with my computer now. so irritating when i have things to do and it's just destroyed and useless now. unbelievable i don't have time for this ****

    PortlandMT HI again, My PC just told me it was about to install updates, I went to settings.

    Option shown to stay with WINDOWS 10 for now !!!!!!! I chose that option.

    It also said "this PC is ready for Windows 11 check for details"

    **** I didn't get a screen shot of that first message but this is what happened when I chose to "stay with Windows 10 for now"

    This was at the end of my second 30 day pause period to prevent Windows 11 installing.

    I hope it works for every one. I will post again if it messes up, I'm not very trusting ;-) Let me know how you do ? Susan

    I wish I could help you. I also have 2 updates paused and Windows 11 paused. I have not a clue what to do as to how to at least let the 2 updates go through yet not let Windows 11 install.

    If I download Win 11 then I will not be able to use my Virtual Reality headset.

    I need to update windows to keep my games working correctly.

    If I update Windows then Windows 11 will install automatically!!!##

    THis makes me want to SCREAM!

    Any solution will make me happy

    Interrupting the upgrade process can cause your system to become unstable and not work properly. I recommend waiting for it to finish and check Kapil Arya’s guide below on How to Downgrade from Windows 11 to 10.

    Well, I've got a major issue then. My PC attempted to start downloading Windows 11, but it never completed the process. In fact, it was stuck at 0%. Still, I continue to get a pop-up message telling me that Windows 11 is in the process of downloading and not to interrupt it.........but it's not doing anything. And now, the whole system is glitchy. I have paused the update, but what am I supposed to do?

    There is NOTHING wrong wit my Power button. It would not even shutdown using the start menu power icon. When I reverted to Windows 10, EVERYTHING works fine.
