how do i stop downloading and installing windows 11. I had a perfectly working computer before you ask me about this **** update. can't do anything with my computer now. so irritating when i have things to do and it's just destroyed and useless now. unbelievable i don't have time for this ****

I missed extending my "stop updates" and W 11 installed. (Calendar issue) I know I can still roll it back but some of the issues I was having seem to have been corrected with the newer updates AND my printer is working again. Bleeping Computer Forum had to be right when they reported certain drivers weren't rolled back correctly when reverting to W 10. I think I will test W11 again and if issues pop up I can always roll back within the 10 day period. Wish me luck
That can be true. I have the older version of Windows 10 which is no longer supported come this May. I'm not that worried about it. By then, I hope to have made the switch to Windows 11.

Yes you are right it only works with the pro version. But if you just pause it you pause all updates, which often plug security holes briefly
I believe that Group Policy editor is only available on Windows 10 Pro. I do not have the Pro version so I don't have that option.
The other thing you can do is disable the windows update service. If you ever change your mind, just go back and enable the updates.
