Our org is using Windows 10 22H2 without issue. I'm just trying to determine if you need a target release version or if you can block Windows 11 by just having the product version set to Windows 10.

I'm one of the people who had Windows 11 download itself without me telling it to do so. Now, it is ready for install. I do not want to install Windows 11 at this point. I want to keep my Windows 10.
I've paused it for 7 days, but this is a temporary solution. Can I delete the Windows 11 download somehow? I'm running Windows 10 on a brand new Dell computer.

I still have 21H2 as my Target Version. It's been so long that I would need a refresher again on where I change it to 22H2.

2023-01-31T16:46:18+00:00 LOL. I made myself a cheat sheet back when we were doing the big registry changes for 21H2 and had to look it up today. But it was very simple. You right click on the start button, click "run," fill the field with "regedit." Then you go to: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate
Mine actually went right to the page as soon as I clicked OK for "regedit," I guess because that is the only edit I have ever done. On that page you will see the last line is the one with target version 21H2 on it. Just right click on that last "target" line and you should get a blank to fill in 22H2. All the part about emptying the Windows Software distribution folder first doesn't seem to be necessary now that we no longer have any Windows 11 artifacts in it.

2023-01-31T19:57:12+00:00 I hope someone else can answer this, as I can't. Have no idea what happens if you leave that target version line blank in the registry. I have always just put the latest one that exists in mine and then updated that line when a new one comes out. Fall of 2023 should be when a 23H2 comes out, if they do one.
