I'm one of the people who had Windows 11 download itself without me telling it to do so. Now, it is ready for install. I do not want to install Windows 11 at this point. I want to keep my Windows 10.
I've paused it for 7 days, but this is a temporary solution. Can I delete the Windows 11 download somehow? I'm running Windows 10 on a brand new Dell computer.

I even did restrictions on the power shell to try and thwart 11 and just push Updates for 10. I must have missed something for that all my privacy setting are changed and slowly going back in to take back my CPU space one permission at a time with the goal of only having 20% CPU space used before opening applications.
Last news, as promised. As I said I changed the group settings. The update was supposed to be tomorrow. This morning I woke up with the idea to delete the files in windows/softwareDistribution/download. I did it and rebooted. Checked the settings and one extra day was available to the update. I set it. Than I checked again and one more day was available, and so on, slowly more and more days were added (not one by one, 4, 5, month, a lot). So now I set the 16 May. I wish I could know if now is still pending win11 or 21H2 as it should
I paused my again for another 35 days yesterday so I good until March 1st. I'll do it again one day before. This time when I 'checked for updates' which you have to do in order to pause it again, I would see Windows 11 pending downloading and installing and two security updates from Microsoft.

I do not have any 'check for updates', only resume updates, history and advance options (which does not have any check)...

That was my error in wording. It is 'Resume Updates'. Once you click that you will see what your computer is trying to download and/or install. After you see that, you can then go into advance options and hit pause again for another day or whatever time frame it is letting you pause for. Here is a screen shot of mine right now.
