How to Cancel Windows 11 update?

I'm one of the people who had Windows 11 download itself without me telling it to do so. Now, it is ready for install. I do not want to install Windows 11 at this point. I want to keep my Windows 10.

I've paused it for 7 days, but this is a temporary solution. Can I delete the Windows 11 download somehow? I'm running Windows 10 on a brand new Dell computer.

    In reply to PortlandMT and regressist. I have been able to suppress a Windows 11 upgrade by judicious editing of Registry, as described on the Web - possibly by softwarekeep.com - entering 21H2 as the current Windows 10 version, updates of which appear to continue as normal.

    That is very possible. The bottom line if the group policy option is not present, don't worry about it. That is a mute point. Not Applicable.

    I was thinking that maybe the version 1909 is so old that does not include the group policy update even when the registry is modified, unless I connect it to internet; could be that this feature was added later on.
