I'm one of the people who had Windows 11 download itself without me telling it to do so. Now, it is ready for install. I do not want to install Windows 11 at this point. I want to keep my Windows 10.
I've paused it for 7 days, but this is a temporary solution. Can I delete the Windows 11 download somehow? I'm running Windows 10 on a brand new Dell computer.

2023-01-31T16:46:18+00:00 LOL. I made myself a cheat sheet back when we were doing the big registry changes for 21H2 and had to look it up today. But it was very simple. You right click on the start button, click "run," fill the field with "regedit." Then you go to: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate
Mine actually went right to the page as soon as I clicked OK for "regedit," I guess because that is the only edit I have ever done. On that page you will see the last line is the one with target version 21H2 on it. Just right click on that last "target" line and you should get a blank to fill in 22H2. All the part about emptying the Windows Software distribution folder first doesn't seem to be necessary now that we no longer have any Windows 11 artifacts in it.

I still have 21H2 as my Target Version. It's been so long that I would need a refresher again on where I change it to 22H2.

2023-01-31T16:02:10+00:00 Our org is using Windows 10 22H2 without issue. I'm just trying to determine if you need a target release version or if you can block Windows 11 by just having the product version set to Windows 10.

2023-01-31T15:54:20+00:00 Hi, Portland. In double checking what I said to Derek M_1, I discovered that there is now a Windows 10 22H2. Did you know this? It seems they began a phased rollout in Oct. 2022. Seems a good idea to have the latest version of Windows 10 for as long as possible, so I changed my target version to 22H2 just now. My version still shows 21H2 on my computer, so I guess I will be offered 22H2 in the days ahead. If anyone in this thread knows of a reason not to set 22H2 as your target version, I sure would appreciate knowing it!
