How to Cancel Windows 11 update?

I'm one of the people who had Windows 11 download itself without me telling it to do so. Now, it is ready for install. I do not want to install Windows 11 at this point. I want to keep my Windows 10.

I've paused it for 7 days, but this is a temporary solution. Can I delete the Windows 11 download somehow? I'm running Windows 10 on a brand new Dell computer.

    Amen. Actually skipped most of the middle stuff. was just curious how long this thread continued. But I was able to remove the windows 11 update package after download. have one residual hardware config warning however. but everything works.

    Such sweet words!! It has helped a lot of folks who are not Windows 11 fans and more importantly, we have all freely helped one another by sharing information so we all reach the goal line and ring the bell. 😃

    I hope someone else can answer this, as I can't. Have no idea what happens if you leave that target version line blank in the registry. I have always just put the latest one that exists in mine and then updated that line when a new one comes out. Fall of 2023 should be when a 23H2 comes out, if they do one.
