How to Cancel Windows 11 update?

Hi Lynn,

I did the update on another laptop, but not my main laptop yet so I still have to change the target version to 22H2.

There were a few people that had posted that once they did their update, the printer got screwed up again and wouldn't print. I've had my fill of printer issues. It does seem that it is the Epson printers that are just not compatible with the new updates.

I will change my target version soon and then see if I can do the update. Let me know if you experience any issues with it.

Hi, Portland. I just updated to 22H2. It still had not come up in my regular update offerings and I did not want to manually download it. (IDK, but seems more likely that something could go wrong.) However, I DID find a way to get it offered to me in Updates, which is what has just been completed. A very quick process, nothing obviously different on my computer. But my "About" page now shows 22H2 as my version. If you have not yet gotten the option of 22H2 in your Updates, here is what I did:

1. Joined the Windows Insider program and selected the category involving previews of new builds.
2. Went back to check for updates.
3. Was offered the dreaded Windows 11 (!) and clicked "Stay with Windows 10 for now"
4. Checked for updates again, and there it was: feature update 22H2.
5. Downloaded and installed same.
6. Went back to the Windows Insider program and left the program. Did not want to be continually offered previews of things, or be continually re-offered Windows 11.

I have a couple of screen shots, if you want/need to go this route. Let me know.

I have 2 other laptops (Windows 10). I checked for the new update to 22H2. It was there as an optional update. I did it on one laptop already. Nothing changed; printer still works. Super fast upgrade.

Just wait till you get the invite. It will always show in the 'view optional updates' section for Windows updates on your computer.

What I meant was a right click on the target version line where 21H2 currently is. That gives you the blank to replace 21H2 with 22H2, as in screen shot below. So far, tho, 22H2 has not yet been offered to me. You can go to the Microsoft download page to get it, but I plan to wait another week or so.

I need to clarify one of your sentences above with your instructions for changing the target version to 22H2.

Your statement "Just right click on that last "target" line and you should get a blank to fill in 22H2"

When you say "last target line", is it another line that opens up underneath where we put target version 21H2? Or does the right click just present another blank line where you put in the new version? Do both of those versions appear in those target lines or am I deleting 21H2?

I haven't gone it yet to my computer, but I'm going to today.
