How to Cancel Windows 11 update?

I'm one of the people who had Windows 11 download itself without me telling it to do so. Now, it is ready for install. I do not want to install Windows 11 at this point. I want to keep my Windows 10.

I've paused it for 7 days, but this is a temporary solution. Can I delete the Windows 11 download somehow? I'm running Windows 10 on a brand new Dell computer.

    Keep us updated. The registry is the 'gate keeper' to everything on your computer. If you do all of the proper steps and I do mean all of those steps perfectly, Windows 11 will disappear and you can keep Windows 10 with no issues.

    I can't address why you are not seeing it in Group Policy Editor. However, if you followed every single step that you must take in order to alter the registry, you should be fine.

    Hi all,

    I got back a pc after maintenance with 10pro, version 1909, in Italian unfortunately.

    Anyway I still have to connect it to internet (maybe I'll never do), nevertheless I set with regedit the target release version as 22H2 and rebooted. See fig.

    To double check I started the Group policy editor and the item Select the target Feature Update Version is completely missing. In all my other computers there are both. Is it due to the fact that I still did not go on internet? Do I have to worry or can I go without the risk to have 11 on my neck?

    I mean I don't know until Win doesn't upgrade to Win 11 :-)
