How to Cancel Windows 11 update?

I think you are absolutely right. I went back into my file folder of Windows 11 hell and had saved the step by step screen shots of what we did to the registry. At the very end of the article, it says exactly what to delete if you want Windows 11 to come back.

I will save all that information and then when the day comes I have to have Windows 11, then I'l do that in my registry. From looking at this screen shot, did you simply 'edit' the line where we typed in what version of Windows 10 (21H2) like in the screen shot that we wanted? I know you changed yours to the now newer version.

My thinking is that we delete everything under the top line, which says "Default." I think we only put in the extra "Target Version" lines to block Windows 11, specifying 10 and then the latest version of 10. Once 11 is inevitable, then we would get updates of it without having to change the target version each time a new version comes out. My guess is that if we went back to default now, we would get a return of those 11 download attempts.

Lynn are you understanding then that we simply delete that one line in the registry? That's it. Then exit?
