This was AWESOME and worked! BUT I did not turn off Outlook as I use that the most and it STILL worked. Indexing is working away as I type. THANKS!
Windows 11 Indexing is paused
What the hell is up with Windows 11 and the indexing being paused?
I was told by customer help to rebuild, which I did. And it took forever to index a few thousand files (because "indexing is paused") and was still not finished when...
Yesterday, windows took it upon itself to start rebuilding without discussing it with me first, and now I am back at square one - its taking like a bazillion years because "indexing is paused".
All search results return as not found !!!!!!!!!!
Does anybody know how to fix this ****?

2022-11-27T01:30:09+00:00 Gosh that's too bad, it worked for me.
Are you able to use group policy editor to check that the 3 specific settings now match the "Enabled", then "Disabled", then "Disabled" settings from the posted 3 specific screen captures?
I had the same problem on two different laptops.
For me, I'm lucky that the workarounds worked in both cases.
Perhaps Windows 10 is different from Windows 11(?)

2022-11-22T19:24:15+00:00 Thanks @Jackie. This is the ONLY solution that worked. The Page-1 reply from the 10-yr vet did nothing. THIS has indexing underway. Kudos.
