Window 11 taskbar auto-hide turning off

I switched to Windows 11 a few weeks ago, and ever since then, the taskbar auto-hide quits working when the computer comes out of Sleep mode. I have to be away from the computer for a while before it will happen, and I believe it has something to do with me running dual monitors. When I wake my computer, my secondary monitor appears to come up faster than my primary by just a fraction. Once my primary is on, there is a message saying something about the taskbar already being hidden (I think) and the taskbar on my primary monitor has the taskbar up. When I go to Taskbar Behaviors, 'Automatically hide the taskbar' is no longer checked. I'll select it again, and it will work fine until the system goes back into Sleep mode for a while, again.

Your links try to open some sort of Feedback Hub, but they don't work. At least, not on my phone (Firefox).

Yeah, I'm seeing that it's probably just a short term fix and will probably pop up again randomly. Just mind boggling that they don't fix stuff like this but guess they have other bigger issues I'm sure....NOT!

Just read this post by @p0ppi, very thoughtful and thorough. Guess my previous post was a bit too optimistic but seeing it worked for some thought I'd try it before reading through all 200+ posts. Seriously thinking of switching to apple at this point. ugh

So far this has worked for me. Having the same issue as others when dual screen used. It varies as to how it comes about, sometimes with an error message, sometimes happens even though still showing autohide option is checked, sometimes not. Just random. I'm optimistic restarting windows explorer will work as it immediately hid the bar when restarted and it's not showing again though I'll admit it's early. Crossing fingers.

The number of displays and the presence of the task bar are completely disassociated processes. MS needs to get off their lazy bums and fix it.
