Window 11 taskbar auto-hide turning off

I switched to Windows 11 a few weeks ago, and ever since then, the taskbar auto-hide quits working when the computer comes out of Sleep mode. I have to be away from the computer for a while before it will happen, and I believe it has something to do with me running dual monitors. When I wake my computer, my secondary monitor appears to come up faster than my primary by just a fraction. Once my primary is on, there is a message saying something about the taskbar already being hidden (I think) and the taskbar on my primary monitor has the taskbar up. When I go to Taskbar Behaviors, 'Automatically hide the taskbar' is no longer checked. I'll select it again, and it will work fine until the system goes back into Sleep mode for a while, again.

    Jason Guer,

You should read & understand an issue before giving irrelevant advice!

Instead, you should escalate this issue to someone at Microsoft who can actually help!

    Hello JamesH.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate that you've taken the time to post your concern here in Microsoft Community Forum**.**

I understand that you are having an issue with your taskbar in your Windows 11 OS. Let's work together and find the best fix for the issue.

Here are the steps on how to disable Auto-hide taskbar Setting like as follows:

    • Go to Settings.
    • Select the Personalization
    • Go to the Taskbar option
    • Click on Taskbar behavior option
    • Then uncheck the Automatically hide the taskbar option.
    • Then Restart the PC

    With respect,

    Jason Guer

Just to stimulate the discussion a bit: I have Windwos 11 on a 2 monitor system and on my, notebook. On both the tasbar works fine, only when an open app has a message it doesn't disappear. Sorry not to join the chorus of "it doesn't work for me either".... :)

I'm on the latest 22H2 and the issue is STILL not fixed! Dual-monitor setup (DP and HDMI) and getting the "a toolbar is already hidden" message on every screen on event.
