I'll add my voice to this massive chorus. This is a SUPER annoying issue. I have to re-check the box the auto-hide setting at LEAST a few times a week.

I switched to Windows 11 a few weeks ago, and ever since then, the taskbar auto-hide quits working when the computer comes out of Sleep mode. I have to be away from the computer for a while before it will happen, and I believe it has something to do with me running dual monitors. When I wake my computer, my secondary monitor appears to come up faster than my primary by just a fraction. Once my primary is on, there is a message saying something about the taskbar already being hidden (I think) and the taskbar on my primary monitor has the taskbar up. When I go to Taskbar Behaviors, 'Automatically hide the taskbar' is no longer checked. I'll select it again, and it will work fine until the system goes back into Sleep mode for a while, again.

2024-07-11T23:09:15+00:00 I totally agree. I've long since stopped trying to correct the problems. Just lookng forward to finding out if the next iteration of the OS has an improved system. If not, or even before if I get bored or need to replace the computer before then, I'm seriously considering jumping ship and going for a Mac. I was going to say it's like they don't even care, but they clearly don't. Sad, as I've been a Microsoft user since before Win95... But even sadder, even if they read this, they won't care.
