What does seem to work for other users is to perform a reinstall using Settings > System > Recovery > Fix problems using windows update > Reinstall now.

I recently purchased a laptop that came with the S mode of Windows. On the first startup it automatically installed Windows 11 (so downgrading to 10 is not an option). After set up etc. I updated Microsoft Store and installed various Windows updates and tried to switch it out of S mode. Instead, for the past few hours and with each of the hundreds of attempts, I keep getting a window that says "Try that again. Something happened on our end. Waiting a bit might help" along with an error code that changes every time. I am burned out and all out of ideas, any assistance on the matter will be greatly appreciated.

2024-07-08T02:08:11+00:00 Right there in the same boat. I've done all the updates, just got this today since my kid's other laptop broke (that wasn't in S mode). He's going to a coding camp tomorrow and I can't get Minecraft installed, even though it's advertised in the store, because it's not meant for S mode. So incredibly frustrated!
