Who did this and why do they do it (see picture below)? The File Explorer right-click menu has had the options: Cut, Copy, Paste, Rename, Delete listed (as words) in this menu FOREVER and now some genius decided that after all these years, Windows users are too dumb to read. The words were replaced with icons. THIS IS SO ANNOYING. THE MUSCLE MEMORY IN MY HANDS IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO RETRAIN AFTER YEARS OF THE MENU BEING THE SAME WAY. Now I have to stop and think about something that I've done instinctively for years. I can get to the ORIGINAL right-click menu by selecting "Show More Options," shown in the photo below, but WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO, THAT'S AN EXTRA STEP? If I am intelligent enough to boot up a computer, then certainly I can read the words: Cut, Copy, Paste, Rename and Delete. I don't need you to create icons to represent those functions. IF IT'S NOT BROKEN THEN DON'T TRY TO FIX IT. STOP DUMBING DOWN THE SOFTWARE AND MAKING THINGS HARDER PLEASE.

2022-08-29T22:48:46+00:00 Totally absurd that they removed the text options in the pop-up menus for these common functions (copy, paste, etc.). Definitely takes me a few seconds to figure out which icon is the one that I want. Never understand why software companies seem to just change things for the sake of changing things...like the developers have to justify their existence on the payroll...so they implement changes just because.
Can't tell you how many times I've given other computer users step-by-step instructions that include copying and pasting files. I'd say, "right-click the file, then click Copy". Now, I've got to explain what the Copy icon looks like to them. Just dumb.
Bring back the text, Microsoft. Come on, man. :-)

2022-08-04T01:01:41+00:00 You joined Microsoft in winning the ID10T award with this OS. Windows 10 being the WORST OS ever created by Microsoft even over Vista, 11 is what 10 should have been. The right click menu has always had cut, copy, paste, and delete readily accessible even in the 5-1/4" Floppy black and white Windows 1.0. IDC they recently updated and added tiny unviewable icons that are supposed to represent the only items placed on the (no thought shown) "show more" option. PUT ALL THIS NEW UNUSABLE JUNK in show more and give us back our usable right click menu. The whole idea of "show more" is just STUPID.
If it works, don't change it. Right click has always worked PERFECTLY, except when Microsoft or another IDC company improperly associates shell extensions there. Microsoft hasn't produced a good operating system since Windows 7 and before that XP. They have lost their sense of direction and we keep paying the price for their failure, every 3 years. -
