Scanner is an old model that was originally for Windows XP. It doesn't have Windows 10 or 11 drivers so it is using Windows 8 drivers. See- System Requirements (epson.com)
Try asking Epson what to do. They probably will say to buy a new All in One.

I have an Epson Perfection V600 Photo scanner that I can't get to run on Windows 11. I did an install with the disk that came with the scanner, then downloaded the latest driver update from Epson, but when I try to run it, I get a message saying "Can't communicate with scanner." Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I really need to use this scanner.

Not working on windows 11 (no solution)
yes there is a solution
for windows 11 or 10 use vuescan 9.7x https://www.hamrick.com/
just test with windows 11 its work
Sighs. If I had known this, I would have kept Windows 10 and I will be warning others. My V500 does work with the Windows 11 super-primitive scanning software. I'm going to have to do a lot more work in Photoshop and I haven't tried scanning transparencies yet. This sucks.
