Scanner won't run on Windows 11

I have an Epson Perfection V600 Photo scanner that I can't get to run on Windows 11. I did an install with the disk that came with the scanner, then downloaded the latest driver update from Epson, but when I try to run it, I get a message saying "Can't communicate with scanner." Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I really need to use this scanner.

    I found a solution.

Download the latest Epson Software and save to USB.

Disconnect your PC from the internet.

Do a clean install of Windows 11.

    Install Epson software.

Now the Epson software with my V600 works like a charm on Windows 11.

Now connect your PC to the internet.

I have experienced this sort of thing many times over the years. Something about installing older software while being connected to the internet.

    Thank you for your reply.

I have tried all suggested drivers and none work for me with windows 11 & my Epson 1670 scanner.

I have spent many hours on trying to find a solution to this problem which is extremely annoying & i am starting to think it is a plan by microsoft and / or Epson to force people to buy a new scanner.

The new Epson equivalent to what I have now is about AU$1500.

The reason for my thinking is that my scanner worked with windows 10 & now wont work with an upgrade to windows 11 and,

I have found an aftermarket program “Vuescan” which (Trial version) works fine with my old Epson 1670 scanner on my new Windows 11.

The only problem is that Vuescan costs AU$180 for equivalent functions to what I had previously and AU$75 for a lesser version.

This proves that a driver for Windows 11 is possible and that neither microsoft windows nor Epson provide support to loyal customers.

No thanks to Epson or Microsoft.

I had to do just that. I bought the V850 Pro and it works just fine. Epson is worthless for support. I had IT try to problem solve and they couldn't come up with a fix for the 700 either.

I had the same problem but i have a Canon MG2550S printer/scanner. I found a facility from Canon called IJ Scan Utility which functions perfectly.

Download and try this version (3.9.3.1) of Epson Scan here. Worked with my V600 in Windows 11.
