Scanner won't run on Windows 11

I have an Epson Perfection V600 Photo scanner that I can't get to run on Windows 11. I did an install with the disk that came with the scanner, then downloaded the latest driver update from Epson, but when I try to run it, I get a message saying "Can't communicate with scanner." Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I really need to use this scanner.

Scanner is an old model that was originally for Windows XP. It doesn't have Windows 10 or 11 drivers so it is using Windows 8 drivers. See- System Requirements (epson.com)

Try asking Epson what to do. They probably will say to buy a new All in One.

New Dell laptop. Had to use Windows 11. My previously reliable Epson V600 forces works after I install latest Win 11 driver. Like everyone else here, it works great until there is a shutdown. Then get same "can't communicate" error message, even though scanner appears in Device window as idle. Will only work if I remove and reinstall driver package. Terrible customer service somewhere.

    Hi

I have the same problem. After installing the scanner, I can use the scanner. But when I continue with my work my computer shuts down after a few minutes.

Hope we can receive an updated driver with no issues.

windows 11 drops Epson v600 windows 11 driver at shut down or maybe startup. Have to download driver whenever I want to use the scanner.

Thanks Carlo -- I had the same problem. Have uninstalled and reinstalled my V600 using your instructions. It seems to have worked.
